So, What’s the Deal with Affirmations?

Okay, real talk—affirmations might seem a little cheesy at first, but they actually work. Like, giving-your-brain-a-hug kind of work. Here’s why they’re worth trying:

1. They help you feel better about yourself.
You know that inner voice that sometimes says you're not good enough? Affirmations help quiet that down and remind you that, actually, you are pretty awesome.

2. They shift your mindset.
Bad day? Big self-doubt moment? Saying something positive—even if you don’t 100% believe it yet—can help pull you out of that negative headspace.

3. They calm the chaos.
Life is a lot. Affirmations can be like mini grounding moments—little reminders to breathe, refocus, and not spiral.

4. They keep you motivated.
Trying to hit a goal? Affirmations are like your personal hype squad. They help keep your energy up and your eyes on the prize.

5. They make you more resilient.
Setbacks suck, but affirmations can help you bounce back faster. They remind you that tough times don’t define you.

Bottom line: Talking to yourself with kindness isn’t weird—it’s powerful.

These are some of my favorite affirmations to say out loud each day! I change them depending on the season of life and what I’m focusing on. Feel free to borrow mine until you can create your own! :) Write them down, print them out, post them on your bathroom mirror, car visor, desk, etc, somewhere that’s visible everyday.
